"Salamander"

The sculpture “Salamander” by Mykola Biryuchinsky creates the impression of a guardian of the reservoir, who watches from a height and is ready to intervene at any moment.

In cultural symbolism, such creatures are often considered guardians of treasures or sacred places, and their proximity to water reinforces the motif of life-giving energy and cyclicality. The appearance here is more decorative than strictly realistic, which enhances the mythological nature of the image.

If Bohdan Korzh's “Salamanders” are integrated into the environment as part of the natural landscape, almost merging with the stone, here the sculpture acts as an accent. It does not hide, but demonstratively “comes to the fore”, setting the tone for the entire space.
