"Kiss"

Mykola Bilyk repeatedly addresses the theme of love, tenderness, and kisses in his work. The artist draws inspiration from the works of his favorite artists: Gustav Klimt's paintings, in particular "Love" and "The Kiss", the expressive spirituality of El Greco, and the plastic language of British sculptor Henry Moore.

The sculpture "The Kiss", created specifically for the "Derenivska Kupil" complex, is unique and has no copies.
The composition consists of two figures: a woman and a man kneeling before her. They symbolize Yin and Yang, two opposites that complement each other, embodying harmony and balance in relationships. The figures seem to be wrapped in the hands-wings of lovers and are perceived as beings not material, but spiritual.

The sculpture conveys a moment of passion and tenderness, openness and trust. The laconic form and balanced silhouette give the image expressiveness and concentration, emphasizing a moment that seems endless.
