“Drops”

Ivan Bodnar's sculpture "Drops" is a metal composition that combines the technical perfection of blacksmithing with deep symbolism. Its wavy, plastic form resembles a series of drops connected into a single movement frozen in space. The shiny metal surface, polished to perfect smoothness, reflects the sun, creating an iridescent effect similar to the play of light on water. The technique of execution emphasizes the artist's skill.

The sculpture is characterized by precise proportions. It creates an impression of lightness despite the massiveness of the structure. Drop-shaped openings allow light and air to pass through, ensuring interaction with the sky and the surrounding environment.

In world culture and myths, a drop has a multifaceted meaning: it is a symbol of life and rebirth, because in many cosmogonic legends it is from the first drop of water that the world arises; a symbol of purity and spiritual purification and an image of time that flows endlessly. In Carpathian legends, a healing drop of spring water is able to restore strength and cure diseases.

Thus, Ivan Bodnar's work is not only a perfect work of blacksmithing, but also a metaphor for the eternal water cycle, where a drop is the beginning and the end, life and renewal.
