"Angel"

audio guide

"Angel" is a sculpture by contemporary Czech artist Pavel Zoughar, executed with special attention to plasticity and detail. The image of an angel is presented as an idealized female figure frozen in a harmonious pose. Open palms, a long dress and wide wings create a feeling of lightness, movement and spirituality.

The wings play a key role in the composition: they not only emphasize the celestial nature, but also become the main plastic accent. Thanks to them, the figure seems to rise above the ground. The lines of the wings form the rhythm of the entire sculpture, giving it dynamics and balanced majesty.

The image of an angel in the form of a gentle girl is filled with the symbolism of purity, silence and inner grace. The elegant outfit emphasizes the smoothness of the forms and makes the image even more weightless. The open palms express a gesture of acceptance and openness.

The philosophical dimension of the work is connected with the idea of mediation between the earthly and the heavenly. The sculpture invites the viewer to reflect on the harmony of the spiritual and the material, on the human aspiration for light and high ideals.

In a broad religious and cultural context, angels are symbols of kindness, mercy, and spiritual support. They are called to protect, inspire, and help people find the right path.

Zoughar's sculpture resonates with this universal symbolism, embodying the idea of an invisible presence that gives a person protection, peace, and hope.
